SB173 Does not use work email addresses for non-work purposes
Using work email for non-working purposes increases the chance that the email might be compromised in a data breach. It also makes it easier for cybercriminals to build up a picture about the services you use, thereby making it easier for them to craft effective phishing emails that are more likely to decieve you. Many cyber criminals target specific organisations in this way.
Why is it important?
Limiting use of work email addresses to work-only purposes reduces the risk of the email address being compromised. This in turn decreases the risk of a security incident.
