SB020 Checks the hyperlink's destination before clicking it
Website links can be hyperlinked to load any website, thus hiding the true destination of the link or a button. By hovering over the link (with a mouse or trackpad) or holding it down (on a touch screen device), the actual destination URL is displayed. The URL can then be checked for any suspicious characteristics.
Why is it important?
Malicious websites will often hide behind a hyperlink in the hope it won't be checked. These websites can download malware or attempt to scam people. By checking links, these websites can be avoided, potentially preventing a security incident.
